A Typical Day at White Deer Run of Blue MountainA typical day at White Deer Run of Blue Mountain begins at 6:30 a.m. Patients wake up, get ready for the day and eat a balanced breakfast. At 8:15 a.m., patients do a morning meditation to get focused and centered before beginning a full day of recovery lectures and group therapy. Lunch is served at noon, followed by treatment planning and a variety of recreational activities. In the evening, patients eat dinner and share their life stories with one another, exploring the reasons for their drug and/or alcohol use and getting feedback and support from others. The day winds down with a 12-Step meeting, an opportunity to share insights and experiences with the community, and a few moments of quiet time. Bedtime is at 10:30 p.m., as patients rest up for another productive day in recovery. |
