A Typical Day at White Deer Run of Lancaster

A day at White Deer Run of Lancaster typically begins at 7 a.m. as patients wake up and get ready for breakfast. After a community meeting to plan for the day ahead, patients begin a full day of recovery lectures and group therapy sessions.

Lunch is served at noon, followed by additional lectures and therapy, as well as study time and a variety of sober recreational activities. In the evening, patients eat dinner at 5 p.m. and attend daily 12-Step meetings. There is also time set aside for lectures, goal-setting and recreation as the day winds down. Patients head off to bed at 10:30 p.m.

The weekend schedule is slightly more relaxed, with visiting permitted from 1 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. Patients who would like to attend religious services may do so on Sunday morning.
