A Typical Day at New Perspectives of White Deer Run

The day begins at 7 a.m. as patients wake up in the lovely town of Lebanon and enjoy a nutritious breakfast. After a meeting to discuss goals and address any issues within the community, patients’ days are filled with recovery lectures and therapy sessions.

Lunch is served at noon and is followed by group therapy addressing relapse prevention, men’s and women’s issues, and other recovery-related topics. Patients have time to study, play games, practice yoga and enjoy other recreational activities before dinner at 5 p.m.

In the evening, patients attend an educational lecture, establish goals and attend a daily 12-Step meeting. The day winds down with a few minutes of personal time and recreation before bedtime at 10:30 p.m.

On weekends, patients participate in ongoing therapy, 12-Step meetings and study time. Visitors are welcome on Sunday afternoons.
