New Directions of Cove Forge is a 25 bed facility located in downtown Johnstown, Pennsylvania. New Directions serves men with co-occurring conditions: substance abuse and mental health.

Men admitted to New Directions receive daily instruction and practice skills in the development of positive life goals and responsibilities. It is the belief of the interdisciplinary team that men suffering from addiction and mental health issues have special needs, which must be met if they are to achieve and maintain recovery. Often times the life history includes physical, sexual and emotional abuse and a lengthy criminal justice history.

It is our belief that the structured and supportive environment of New Directions empowers men to become successful in the transition from substance abuse and other destructive behaviors.
