The White Deer Run Treatment Network provides two gender-specific halfway houses for adults who are in early recovery from chemical dependency and certain co-occurring mental health disorders. Both programs, New Directions of White Deer Run and Renewal Center of White Deer Run, are located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
These two programs are focused on helping the men and women of Johnstown learn how to live a sober lifestyle, develop independent living skills, and successfully transition into the workforce. Residents’ comprehensive rehab experience includes psychiatric consultation and medication management, mental health groups, anger management groups, individual therapy, and group therapy. The programs also provide a specialized opioid addiction treatment option through the H.O.P.E. Program to assist individuals in rebalancing their brain chemistry in early recovery.
New Directions of White Deer Run and Renewal Center of White Deer Run are dedicated to empowering adult men and women to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental challenges of recovery. The programs’ person-centered approach to rehab involves teaching life skills, building support systems, improving coping and decision-making skills, and coordinating the aftercare services that are essential to maintaining ongoing recovery from addiction and mental illness.
The care that is provided at two rehab programs in Johnstown incorporates the 12-Step philosophy, choice theory, and reality therapy to help recovering individuals learn how to gain effective control of their choices, their actions, and their lives.
