Allenwood’s Men’s Residential Addiction Rehab Program

At White Deer Run at Allenwood, we help individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health issues build a strong foundation for long-term recovery.

What We Treat

At White Deer Run of Allenwood, we provide a residential rehabilitation program that is designed to meet the needs of adult men who are dealing with a number of disorders, including the following:

  • Opioid abuse
  • Alcohol abuse
  • Benzodiazepine abuse
  • Cocaine abuse
  • Cannabis abuse
  • Depressive disorders
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

Types of Treatment

Our treatment program is open to men age 18 and older who have a substance use disorder, as well as men who also have certain co-occurring mental health disorders. Each individual’s stay in our program varies based on their unique needs. Our treatment team determines the length of stay based on an assessment and weekly progress updates. In the treatment program at our rehab center, we incorporate several evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, rational emotive behavior therapy, reality therapy, and choice theory, as well as the 12-Step model of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. We also offer a full range of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options, such as Revia and Vivitrol, methadone maintenance, Suboxone maintenance, and Sublocade injections. Depending on each individual’s needs, treatment may include the following:

Medication management: Individuals who have mental health concerns meet with our medical team soon after admission and receive medication management services as needed from our nursing team and staff psychiatrist.

Individual therapy: Individuals in the residential program meet with their individual counselor at least once per week. Individual therapy provides people with a chance to receive support and feedback from a compassionate professional.

Family therapy: Because an individual’s family can often be a strong source of support, we provide weekly family therapy on an as-needed basis.

Group therapy: Groups are a fundamental part of treatment at White Deer Run of Allenwood. We offer multiple groups daily, seven days a week, including structured group activities and ancillary groups. Group topics may include the following:

  • Back to the basics of a recovery program
  • 12 Steps: The first three steps

Continuing care: Because recovery is a lifelong journey, we have designed our program to give each participant the best possible chance of healing. For many people, residential treatment is only the first of many steps toward a life free of substance use, so we start discharge planning at the beginning of treatment to ensure that each individual is able to build on the progress he has made during residential treatment.

Co-occurring disorders: We understand the unique challenges that come when one struggles with both a substance use disorder and a co-occurring mental health disorder. As such, we provide specialized treatment in our co-occurring disorders track, which includes the interventions described on this page as well as groups designed specifically to address the unique needs of people who have co-occurring mental health disorders.

At White Deer Run of Allenwood, we honor the courage required for each person to seek treatment. We are dedicated to giving each individual in our care the best possible chance of recovery and a path to a life free from the chains of addiction.
